Title: Quad Octal Linestage with a Shunt regulator..
Post by: migkiller1971 on October 05, 2011, 11:00:52 AM
An Amazing piece of equipment!! I'm still running alittle low on the B+ side. Recommended 300-320V max but right now its at 285V. have to buy the right resistor. Can't wait to get a hold of some better 6sn7's.. I will make a video of my dedicated two Channel System Soon.
Wow, looks amazing. I'm sure it sounds fantastic! :D
What amp are you using with it? Is it available as a kit?
I'm using a Denon Poa 1500 that I rebuilt. I have a 3 part video on it. here is a review on the preamp. I choose the All in one version because I didn't like the layout on the one below.

The Transformer I was using in the Linestage got very Hot. Too hot for my liking so I seperate the main power and added a seperate THORDARSON Filament tranny. Now, I turn it on by Staggering with two toggle switches. First the Filament tubes are warmed up and than I add the main Power. Much, Much better after 2 hours of playing music..
