All of the personality, color and customization will be lost to a bland, white, sterile, conformist template, devoid of creativity and character.   :'(

Had to take one last photo of my channel before it's gone forever.  :(

Feel free to post a snapshot of your channel before the change over.

Well, I was forced into the new design the other day and I HATE it.

I can't find one person who likes the new layout, except maybe the people who have millions of views and make a living off their channel. They are so dependent on YouTube for money that they seem to accept every change, no matter how bad it looks.

I've noticed a measurable decline in activity on my channel since the design change, mainly comments and new subscribers. If every channel looks the same (bland and devoid of personality), people don't stick around to watch videos.

I thought about starting my own video page since there a bunch of scripts available that are basically clones of YouTube. Of course, the biggest roadblock would be dealing with copyright issues since YouTube has partnerships with major copyright holders; and a built-in content analyzer for flagging copyrighted material. Starting up a YouTube clone site opens up a can of 'legal worms' that didn't exist back when YouTube originally opened. Plus, finding a hosting company that would allow their drives to fill up with videos would be nearly impossible.

Another option would be to keep the videos hosted on YouTube and just create a front-end website that looks like the old YouTube (with the same basic features), yet plays the videos as embedded files that are still hosted on YouTube.

What do you think? Do you like or hate the new YouTube design?
