• New theme with a dedicated front page and an overall new look and feel. There are literally hundreds of small changes involved in the update, some are visible and some hidden, but all of them lead to better overall experience.
• New website logo!
• Classified Ads - A brand new feature where you can post classified ads and auctions, browse for items and trade with fellow members.
• Blog system - each member will be able to create a personal blog!
• New download section where you can search for and download information (documentation, manuals, brochures) for audio equipment.
• The forum will become the landing page - the forum will be moved to http://www.VinylAudio.net (http://www.VinylAudio.net) and become the central 'hub' of the website.
• The current blog will be moved to http://www.blog.VinylAudio.net (http://www.blog.VinylAudio.net), taking the pressure off from being the landing page for the site.
Plus, much, much more!
My plan is to build up and complete all the changes to my test website (hosted on my local server), with the majority of the changes completed and all of the user data and messages imported into a new database; so when the time comes for the switch, I can have it completed in one night, keeping the downtime to a minimum.
I will post more information as we get closer to the upgrade date.

• The blog has been moved to it's new location: http://www.blog.vinylaudio.net (http://www.blog.vinylaudio.net). The .htaccess file will be updated and all external links will be moved (301) to their corresponding address on the new subdomain.
• In the coming week, the new forum will be installed and configured in the root of http://www.vinylaudio.net (http://www.vinylaudio.net), replacing the blog as the landing page. The current forum (in the /forum folder) will stay in place until the new forum is up and running.
• There will be a ton of activity once the new forum is up; new modifications, bug fixes, etc. It will also be a slow process, so please be patient. :)

Big changes are coming this week!We're gearing up to move the forum to the landing page within the next few days, but the old forum will continue to operate as it is until the new forum is up and running. New user registration may be briefly halted and redirected to the new site once I export the old database one final time before it's closed down.
• If you're trying to register and it's closed, try back within 24 hours on the new forum.
The move is a complex and time consuming process, so please keep that in mind if things look a little messy and unfinished. I have a to do list that's a mile long, so in the next few days I'm going to be spending most of my time dedicated to the process of configuring, modifying and fixing things as best (and fast) as I can.
