Title: Trip to Double Decker Records
Post by: BSD2000 on December 18, 2011, 06:01:03 AM
I stopped by Double Decker Records (http://www.doubledeckerrecords.com) yesterday. I haven't been there in a few months, so everything in the store was new (to me anyway). The store hours changed, so I didn't have enough time to go through all the racks. Here's what I picked up:

Cat Stevens                    Tea for the Tillerman (A&M SP 4280)
Pat Benatar                     In the Heat of the Night (Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab)
Don Slepian                     Sonic Perfume - sealed (One of my Youtube videos features a song from Don Slepians 'Reflections' album)
Dave Brubeck Quartet      The Last Time We Saw Paris (promo)
Dave Brubeck Quartet       Brubeck in Amsterdam
Led Zepplin                      Houses of the Holy (CRC release - didn't see that in the store. Still decent sound quality though)
U2                                    October
U2                                    Wide Awake in America
Alan Parsons Project         Pyramid
Wes Montgomery              The  Best of Wes Montgomery (Verve - VG sound quality)
Brand X                             Livestock
Brand X                             Product
Philip Glass                        Glassworks
Dazz Band                          Keep it Alive (Mowtown, still sealed)
Robert Plant                       Shaken N Stirred (Great sounding album - my 3rd copy)
Mel Henke                          Stereo Workshop Series - Dynamic Adventures in Sound (Stereo - Warner Bros. 1962)
Streets of Fire                     Soundtrack (German pressing - alternate cover design)
Karate Kid                           Soundtrack
James Galway / Chieftains   In Ireland (RCA Red Seal Digital)
Gary Hughes                       Sacred Cities (Audion SYN 102)
Synergy                              Cords (Passport Records PB 6000)
Synergy                              Games (Passport Records PB 6003)
Synergy                              Electronic Realizations for Rock Orchestra (Passport Records PB 6001)

There was so much good stuff there, I just wish I had more time. Looks like I'll be heading back on Tuesday to dig some more.  :D

I updated my record list, adding another 35 or so records. I'm planning on heading to the record store tomorrow and do some more digging. :D

I went back again tonight and picked up another 46 records. I updated my list again, 994 records in total.

Can't wait to sit back and relax on New Years Eve listening to my new records.  ;D
