Title: Inside the Presonus Inspire recording interface
Post by: BSD2000 on January 05, 2012, 01:54:50 PM
I don't know about you, but I love pictures of the guts of audio equipment. Whether it's the complex inner workings of a reel to reel tape deck, or the look inside the design, layout and construction of an audio amp. I like to see how an audio component was built and what components went into it's design.

Here's a few pictures inside my Presonus Inspire recording interface:

Information from the Wolfson website on the WM8590 AD/DA chip:

"The WM8590 is a high performance, stereo audio codec with differential inputs and outputs. It is ideal for surround sound processing applications for home hi-fi, DVD-RW and other audio visual equipment. The stereo 24-bit multi-bit sigma delta ADC has programmable gain with limiting control. Digital audio output word lengths from 16-32 bits and sampling rates from 32kHz to 96kHz are supported. A stereo multi-bit sigma delta DAC is used with digital audio input word lengths from 16-32 bits and sampling rates from 32kHz to 192kHz."
