4.0 million LPs have been sold this year in the US alone, according to stats shared this morning by Nielsen Soundscan.  That’s a 40.4 percent increase over the same period last year, when sales reached 2.9 million units.  In 2013, LP sales grew 30.4 percent year-over-year.

it's nice to see an increase in the sales of my favourite media.

But what i really would wish for is an increase in quality for the releases.
As it stands now, buying new vinyl is pretty much hit or miss. ( with a high rate of noisy vinyl)

Honestly this often makes me hesitant to buy new releases on vinyl ( except maybe from "audiophile" labels, but i had bad luck there as well )
