Title: Re-issue wish list
Post by: BSD2000 on May 08, 2012, 05:53:31 PM
Here's a few albums I wish they would re-issue or release on vinyl:
Pink Floyd:
Momentary Lapse of Reason - One of my favorite PF albums
Delicate Sound of Thunder - My favorite live PF album
Pulse - Original pressings cost an arm and a leg!
Division Bell - Original pressings are unbelievably bad, cut at half volume
Dire Straits:
On Every Street - One of my all-time favorite Dire Straits albums
Bryan Adams:
Reckless
Into The Fire
Queensryche:
Empire - Original DMM and the Friday music reissue both have sibilance issues
Promised Land - the original DMM pressing is TERRIBLE!
Type O Negative:
October Rust - my favorite Type O Negative album
RUSH:
Presto
Counterparts
Roll the Bones
I'm sure I can think of more to add later. ;)
Do you have a wish list of LP's you'd like to see released? Add them to the list! :)

Definitely: all Roy Buchanan's albums; Highway Call by Dickey Betts; The Allman Brothers Band first album; Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd (the 2011 reissue is digitally remastered...BLEH!); and a bunch of others that I can't recall at the moment.

Mike Oldfield:
The Songs Of Distant Earth
The Voyager
Tubular Bells III
Guitars
The Millenium Bell
Tr3s Lunas
Tubular Bells 2003
Light And Shade
Music Of The Spheres
Most of all I wish they'd release Guitars. I think none of them have been released on vinyl besides The Songs Of Distant Earth.

Anything by Deep Purple Mk II. All I've found was trashed or overpriced. Scott Joplin: Piano Rags by Joshua Rifkin. Anything by Ennio Morricone. His music deserves a Mobile Fidelity treatment. And a bunch of movies soundtracks. Bullit, The Magnificent Seven, Star Wars, The Sting, A Clockwork Orange, and stuff like that from the 60's and the 70's.
