ADSL 2+, laptop connected to modem via Wi-Fi, outlying area (foot of the Alps).

For ADSL, that's not bad, especially for WIFI. My brother lives in an outlying area where the only service available is DSL with 1Mb down, 384k upload.

My internet service is through a DOCSIS 3.0 cable modem with speeds caped at 78Mb down, 11Mb up. Previously, I was 25Mb down, 2Mb up. During the day, my speeds drop to about 55Mb down, 7Mb up.

'Foot of the Alps' - man, I bet the view is beautiful!  8)

The theoretical offer by my provider is 7Mb down, 640Kb up. I'm lucky because I live in the surrounding area of the town of Bergamo which, despite being anchored at the foothills of the Alps, is still quite near to Milan, so we got decent ADSL covering. But I bet that if you travel for 4 or 5 miles, as soon as you enter those narrow Alpine valleys we got here, that value will quickly decrease. Provided that there would still be ADSL: the neighbouring village (less than 1 mile from my home) doesn't have ADSL at all.
My provider also offer 10Mb and 20Mb down ADSL, but not in my area (not yet, at least).
As for the view, it's quite nice and relaxing :D First photo was shot from my music room window in 2009. The others were shot this morning from my back yard. With a cleaner sky you could see snowy mountains in the background of photo #4.

Wow, you guys get to look at beautiful mountains and hillsides.  ;D

I look out and see a low income housing project across the street. I also get to hear a lot of yelling, police sirens, loud cars and loud music.  :(

And some people wonder why I use headphones so much.  ;)

Close - it's a 1979 Buick LeSabre! It belongs to my friend. He bought it 8 years ago for $200 and it still purrs like a kitten. It has 90K original miles on it and the optional Olds 307 motor with a 2 barrel carb. Even the AC still works! The paint is faded, but the body is still solid with no rust. It's terrible on gas, but he doesn't live far away.  :)

I've always dreamed of getting one of those big cruisers, but besides bad mpg ratings, they're way too big for Italian streets and parking lots... :'(

It's a great car for cruising on the back country roads or highway - it's like you're floating on a cushion of air.  ;D

Here's what I drive:

[attach=1]  [attach=2]

It's a 1996 Chevrolet Camaro SS, #174. It has every option available, t-tops, 350 LT1 motor, 6-speed manual, SLP 'two on the left' exhaust. It has 44K original miles on it, barely broken in. It's also the car I installed all of the high-end car audio equipment in. It's fast, gets great gas mileage (18 city/30+ highway) and handles like it's a slot car with magnets under it.   ;D
