Denon DP-300F Turntable

The Denon DP-300F Turntable, normally $499.00, is on Black Friday Sale for $349.00 at Amazon! This is a very solid AUTOMATIC turntable (button press raises tonearm, swings over to LP, slowly lowers and then returns to the armrest when finished). It does 33.3 RPM and 45 RPM and includes a defeatable built-in phono preamp. Power and RCA cables are not detachable. It includes a dustcover, removeable headshell, a Denon DSN-85 cartridge and a 45 insert.

I bought one of these after seeing and hearing one owned by my nephew-in-law. This is a really good turntable for a newbie or even someone just looking to upgrade from a (shudder  ) Audio-Technica LP-60. This would be a GREAT Christmas gift for that someone just beginning to appreciate good audio. It's even better when you consider that the money you save on the turntable can go towards buying a better cartridge in the $100 range.

My nephew purchased one and I sat down during Christmas vacation to listen to some vinyl records on it and I was impressed. It's a great turntable for the money.
